ALBERT FREY, FAIA, was born 1903 in Switzerland, and educated there. Worked for Le Corbusier in Paris in 1928. Moved to New York in 1930 and became partners with A. Lawrence Kocher, where they built the Aluminaire House. Came to Palm Springs in 1934 to supervise construction of the Kocher-Samson Building. He permanently relocated to Palm Springs in 1939, where he would design a body of work including residential, commercial, institutional and civic buildings.
